“4Sync” or the one who wanted to leave Dropbox behind

4Sync is a new standard for data storage. Nothing so much as 15GB are available directly after registration! From now you can forget about Dropbox referral program. And one more thing! The amount of online storage services is increasing rapidly and 4Sync app can take its well-deserved position among such storage giants as Dropbox, SugarSync and Google Drive.

So let’s take a closer look at what this new cloud is and what it has to offer:

First step towards exploring the 4sync service is its website

In the Top right tab you will find a “Sign up” form

You can use any of these tools if you are interested.

Important to know:

Look at the picture, down on the toolbar: Install the toolbar 4shared and increase the size limit of uploading files to 2GB.

Let’s see if it is mandatory to install this bar because I’m not a fan of it at all. I like having my Firefox clean, but not with 4Sync/Dropbox/Skydrive and other bars.

In the faq’s, I found the info that a user may upload as many files as possible. The only limit is 15GB of storage space.

So if I understand correctly, no need for this bar. I still looked to the “Upload” option to be sure:

This is 2Gb. But by clicking “increase the size …” premium account info is offered.

On the menu Free account offers: Free account offers 15GB of storage space and download limit. Not as cool as Premium features.

I return to the FAQ on here and what I get: All files stored permanently within 4sync account, but you have to visit it at least once in 180 days.

It’s ok with me because I actually plan to use 4sync every day.

4Sync is simple, easy, quick, and offers 15GB of storage space for free.
