A separate citywide Housing Part was established in October 1973. Our Castleton Avenue courthouse, was completed in 1927 during the Governor Alfred E. Smith and Mayor James J. “Jimmy” Walker administrations. Today the Richmond County Civil Court serves our borough of over 450,000 people in our civil, small claims and housing part.
